Shelter Assistance

The Salvation Army accommodates up to 98 single men, 32 single men and three families each night. All guests are provided with a bed, linens, hygiene supplies, a locker, showers, meals and a case manager. The case manager provides counseling, goal planning, and referrals for the guests. Working with the case manager the guests maximize their ability to transition from homelessness to self sufficiency.
Level 1- Individuals come into the shelter on an emergency basis. They are served on a first come basis. 58 men’s beds, 22 women’s beds and three family rooms are available in this program. Guests are given 30 days of cost free residency. After thirty days guests may choose to actively participate in case management or pay a $5 per night fee. (Families are not subject to this fee.)
Level 2- A transitional program in which participants are committed to taking steps to improve their lives. Forty men’s beds and 10 women’s beds are available in this program. Guests may stay for up to six months at no cost. Guests are participating in case management, money management, drug and alcohol testing, medication compliance, employment search, daily chores, and meetings, and other services agreed upon in their personal goal plan. Level 3- Honors participants receive the same services as Level 2 but are role-models and provide peer counseling to individuals in levels one and two. The responsibility of the honor participants bolsters their self esteem. |

| Our men's shelter is a dormitory style facility with the capacity to house 98 men. The men using this facility are staying on a short-term or emergency basis. |

| WOMEN'S & FAMILY EMERGENCY SHELTER |
| This shelter stabilizes the housing needs of women and families in crisis. Counselors work with residents to help resolve the problems that brought them to the shelter. Families are encouraged to make short-term and long-term goals that will enable them to leave the shelter and lead productive lives. |
