Emergency Assistance

The Emergency Assistance program serves individuals and families below the poverty line by providing resources that prevent homeless. Emergency Assistance includes the following:
- Food Pantry Operation- The Center of Hope provides hungry families with packages of non-perishable food items to get them through hard times. Donations of canned and boxed food are always needed and appreciated!
- Financial Support- The Salvation Army may provide families with moderate amounts of financial support to pay an overdue electric or water bill. Other support includes bus tickets home for displaced individuals and even state issued ID cards.
- Benefits Administration- The Center of Hope has a certified benefits Administrator on site to provide Food Stamp Benefits registration. This alleviates the burden of making several trips to a government office. To date, Center of Hope has helped hundreds hungry families acquire much needed assistance.
